DÒNG CHÚA CỨU THẾ
I am a dedicated Redemptorist priest known for my unwavering commitment to serving marginalized communities, particularly in Vietnam’s Central Highlands.
Born in Da Nang, Vietnam, I entered the Redemptorist order at the age of 12, beginning a lifelong journey of faith and service. After facing interruptions in my formation due to the country’s socio-political changes, I evacuated with my siblings to the US, on the last day of April 1975. There, after one year making a living, I joined the Redemptorist Novitiate and continued my formation until May 28, 1983, when I was ordained a priest in New York. After 10 years in parish life, I fell the call to serve the Boat People in Detention Centers in Hong Kong, for 4 years, until the closing of the Camps in 1997.
In 1998 I started Viet Toc Foundation, with the Mission to the Montagnard communities in Vietnam. Until today.
I feel blessed to be able to work tirelessly to uplift the most vulnerable, focusing on social justice, education, and healthcare for those in need.
